Scuttlebutt - February 23, 2022

Feb 23, 2022
Hey my Scuttlebuttniks!

It's finally out!

It's my new book, which is the follow-up to The Strum Bowing Method: How to Groove on Strings. I've been working on it for the last couple of years. It was written to go with my Pt. 2: The Rhythm String Player online course.

There is also a companion etude book called Chord Jams: Strum Bowing Etudes Book 2, and because it's new and I really want people to have success with this stuff, I'm giving away a FREE download of the Chord Jams etude book with every purchase of The Rhythm String Player! ($14.95 value)

My guest this week on the For the Greater Groove Podcast is none other than the legendary Billy Contreras. I asked Billy about his approach to soloing, so grab a pen and paper. You might want to take notes on this one.
Starts This Tuesday!
It's going to be "Groovin' on Tuesdays." Honored to be included among the amazing teachers at Mike Block's Guided Practice Sessions.

4 90-minute live weekly workouts with me on zoom. Open to violin, viola and cello players, so rosin up your bows and get your groove on!
UPCOMING SHOW ALERT:

This Fri, Feb 25 with Bach to the Future at the Sky Music Lounge, St. Louis, MO.
For each episode of the For the Greater Groove Podcast, I pull out about 4 video highlights of our conversation and post them to social media the week before the episode drops as little teaser previews. Well, I'm 23 episodes in on the podcast and just uploaded all 92 of those preview videos to a new playlist on my YouTube channel for binge watching.

These are just the most entertainin' and edifyin' bits, folks, with all the substantive, mindful, deep-diving, philosophical nonsense cleared out of the way.

As always, Iā€™d love to hear from you--just hit reply or comment/message me on socials below.

Stay in touch and groove on!
