Hello friends!
The For the Greater Groove Podcast is honored to feature my friend Sara Caswell, who is one of the most important jazz violinists on the scene today. Sara brings her classical and jazz expertise to her students at Berklee College and Manhattan School of Music and to every gig and record date. She talks about the inspiration she gets from young players and then we quiz Downbeat magazine's perennial "Rising Star" jazz violinist about...Rising Star Casino and RV Park.
This week, I was honored to tape an episode as a guest on a fun new podcast called Rhythm on the Rocks, which has the wonderful premise of having the guest and hosts all sipping the same high-end whiskey while chatting, which means they send a little sample of the whiskey to each guest in advance. Well, uncharacteristic as it is for me to forget anything having to do with free high-end whiskey, it had totally slipped my mind. So imagine my surprise when, several weeks later, I received a mysterious package from an unknown return address that contained an unlabeled amber vial of some kind of liquid, sealed with black electrical tape.

This episode won't air til May, so I'll post the mystery package unboxing video then.
It's going to be "Groovin' on Tuesdays." Honored to be included among the amazing teachers at Mike Block's Guided Practice Sessions. 4 live weekly workouts with me on zoom. Rosin up your bows, all you violin, viola and cello players, and let's get our groove on!
As always, Iā€™d love to hear from you--just hit reply or comment/message me on socials below.

Stay in touch and groove on!
