Having a one-of-a-kind custom instrument is not possible without a one-of-a-kind luthier to build it and maintain it. Touring, changing seasons and hours of hard playing make incredible demands on wooden instruments where adjustments come down to thousandths of an inch. I wouldn't be able to do what I do without Joe Glaser nearby.
